Roy Electric Lighting Co.
For 30 years Roy Electric Company has been creating and reproducing the finest period lighting fixtures available. Our lighting can be seen from the White House Executive Building, U.S. Capitol Building in Washington, D.C., to Disney worldwide, museums, municipalities, residences, commercial ventures, stage, and screen. Among our accomplishments in theatre: Meet Me In St. Louis, Brighton Beach Memoirs, Blood Brothers, Showboat, and the Broadway production of Titanic. We were also involved in the lighting of the Walter Kerr Theatre and many, many of the most notable bed & breakfast establishments in Cape May, New Jersey -- among them the fabulous Southern Mansion. We have been featured in books such as Lighting For Historic Buildings by Roger Moss, Historic Preservation, and The Lighting Book, by Main Street Press. We have a notable mention in Period Details by Martin and Judith Miller (Crown Publications), as well as many architectural, preservation, decorating, and building magazines. Our secret: "Quality is our first objective." Each piece is hand-crafted in brass, all joints are silver soldered, special polishing and lacquer techniques are used. We use glass-covered high-heat wiring and nickel-plated-over-copper shell sockets, all U.L. standards. Our new showroom is the largest antique, reproduction, and custom lighting center in New Jersey, featuring hundreds of restored lighting and reproduction lighting fixtures -- from Victorian to Art Deco periods. We feature sconces, pendants, chandeliers, porch and outdoor lighting, and specialize in kitchen and bath lighting: flush-mount fixtures, table and floor lamps, ceiling medallions, and a huge selection of glass and fabric shades. Our fixtures are available in different finishes. We plate over brass in nickel, chrome, copper, and provide finishes such as oiled bronze, antiqued, pewter, satin, and painted. Come visit us.
