RECENT MAIN STREET PROJECTS
Main Street Revitalization: St. Croix Survivor
On the island of St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands, architect William Anglin Taylor
directed the effort to bring the historic Sunday Market Square back to its original
function as a pedestrian-friendly gathering space, as well as to restore many of its
surrounding buildings.
Main Street Revitalization: Shenandoah Urbanism
Frazier Associates is leading the restoration of several buildings and streetscapes in its hometown of Staunton, VA, including the transformation of two historic hotels into
commercial spaces and an old YMCA into residential lofts.
New Construction: Concrete Ideas
A Classically styled bed and breakfast was recently designed by Miami-based Trelles Architects to fit into the mixed-use community of Rosemary Beach, a New Urbanist
development on the Florida panhandle. The building's owner fabricated many of its
elements, including its single-pour concrete cornice.

Restoration: City of Parks
The Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy, the overseer of the Frederick Law Olmsted-designed park system in Buffalo, NY, is preparing to embark on an ambitious 20-year restoration and maintenance plan.
Restoration: Attention Span
Under the direction of Chicago, IL-based Johnson Lasky Architects, the historic Animal Bridge in Chicago's Jackson Park has been restored and upgraded to better accommodate modern traffic patterns.
